Integrative Care for Women at Every Stage
My passion is helping women better understand and support the natural rhythms of their bodies. Through Verdae Wellness, I offer acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine to support women through fertility, pregnancy, postpartum recovery, and hormonal health. Based in Carver, Minnesota, I currently provide individualized care through in-home acupuncture visits.
My passion for women’s health began long before I knew I’d find my path in Traditional Chinese Medicine. During my undergraduate years in Biology and Chemistry, I was on a pre-veterinary track — helping deliver litters of puppies and lovingly earning the title “puppy midwife.” I was captivated by the rhythms of life and the instinctive wisdom of mothers.
Eventually, I realized Veterinary Medicine wasn’t where I was meant to be. After reconnecting with a mentor who introduced me to Traditional Chinese Medicine, everything fell into place. I was drawn to the way TCM views the body as an interconnected system — honoring the cycles, seasons, and subtle shifts that modern medicine sometimes overlooks.
I went on to earn my Master of Acupuncture and Doctor of Chinese Medicine degrees, with a clinical focus on women’s health and fertility. Along the way, I navigated my own fertility challenges and, eventually, welcomed my miracle baby. That experience reshaped my understanding of healing, patience, and balance in the most personal way.
Today, Verdae Wellness reflects both my clinical training and my lived experience. I now offer personalized, in-home acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine care for women — supporting fertility, pregnancy, postpartum recovery, and hormonal health. My approach blends thoughtful, evidence-informed care with the deeper wisdom of TCM, creating space for women to feel supported, understood, and more connected to their bodies at every stage.
When I’m not working...
I can often be found playing outside with my family, trying out a new recipe in the kitchen, or curled up on the couch with a cup of tea and a good book or movie.
I’m always up for a good...
park playdate! My son would rather be outside playing in the dirt than cooped up in front of a screen any day! There are so many cool parks and playgrounds in Minnesota. We love exploring them.
I can't live without...
cozy slippers, soft sweaters, and a great candle.
During grad school I discovered that I had a very large and very rare type of benign tumor that had destroyed my left ovary and fallopian tube. This was the beginning of my deep dive into fertility – long before I even planned on starting my own family.
This was a year of losses and miracles for me. My partner and I experienced two back-to-back miscarriages before managing to sustain a healthy pregnancy.
Our beautiful, wild miracle baby was born, and he was the ring bearer in our wedding. I went back to work and navigated the work-life-conundrum for about a year. I loved my work, but while I cared for patients, I felt guilty for not being with my son. When I needed to take time to take care of my son, I felt guilty for taking that time away from my patients.
In the fall of 2024 we lost another pregnancy, and in spring of 2025 a ruptured ectopic pregnancy claimed my only remaining fallopian tube.
The thought of working, raising a toddler, and going through IVF all at the same time sounded incredibly daunting. I finally took my own advice and stepped back from clinical practice to focus on motherhood. Now I prioritize slowing down, living with intention and sharing my knowledge and experience (both clinical and personal) in the hopes that I can help even a few women feel supported and cared for.
Verdae Wellness begins a new chapter as I return to clinical practice, offering acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine through in-home visits designed to support women through fertility, pregnancy, postpartum recovery, and the many transitions of life.
